Hi Anne,

Just a little update to let you know that our little Samurai (Sammy) is doing wonderfully!

He travelled really well and settled into his new home within about an hour. He is eating well, sleeping well, and having an absolute ball playing with us. He especially loves the puppy stew Olivia made using your recipe — that was such a lovely touch!

We were a little concerned at first about his drinking, but he quickly picked up and is doing perfectly now.

We’ve also been so impressed with his toilet training. Using training pads, he has been going after every meal and hasn’t had any accidents off the pads so far.

He had a small cry during the night once, but settled himself within a few minutes and slept peacefully for the rest of the night.

He is full of personality — playful, affectionate, and constantly covering us in kisses! We are completely in love with him and couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful, intelligent, and adorable puppy. He truly is everything we wished for and more.

Thank you again for everything. We’ll be taking lots of photos and will keep in touch so you can watch our gorgeous little man grow.

Hi dear Wonderful Anne,

I could write thousands of words to describe the joy this little dog has brought into my life — the laughter, the tears, the happiness — but perhaps it can be summed up simply:

This little bundle of fur and energy is perfect, and we are bonding as one for the life ahead.

He has more front than Myer and more personality than I have ever seen in one so small. I am still searching for the perfect name — something that reflects the size of his heart and the strength of his character.

I have never laughed or cried so much with happiness in such a long time. I knew I couldn’t just go out and get any dog — he had to be special. And he truly is.

In his eyes, I am everything:

his plaything
a beard to pull
a pants leg to tug
a big toe to chase
the dressing gown he loves to grab
and the provider of slippers to destroy!

He has settled beautifully — sleeping beside my bed and only waking around 5am when he’s ready to start the day. Toilet training is progressing gently, with no stress, just patience and praise.

I’ve even been adjusting things around the house for him — making it easier for him to use the doggy door and planning a little ramp so he can move about safely. Every bit of care I give him is returned tenfold in love and companionship.

It also makes me reflect on the wonderful care you take in placing your puppies. The time you spend getting to know people, your patience, and your dedication truly show. You don’t just place puppies — you place them with the right people.

I didn’t thank you enough, Anne. You have brought so much happiness into my life. This little dog is the best medicine I could have ever wished for.

For the first time in months, I slept peacefully. Since losing my previous little companion, I had been dreaming of him constantly — but those dreams have now been replaced with the joy of my new little mate.

He is already the star of many photos and videos, and I look forward to capturing his life as it unfolds.
