What are Polymer Clay babies you ask? Well, quite simply, they are one of a kind creations made from Polymer clay. They are collector art dolls. There are two types, partial sculpts and full sculpts, I do both.
So, how they come to be. I take a lump of clay and with just the use of my hands, no molds at all, and the use of my imagination, I mould the clay and create a true to life baby! I never know how each one will turn out and each one is different. I can't repeat the same one twice, so this makes them one of a kind worldwide and quite unique!
They range in size from the itty bitty tiny ones right through to life size. Incidentally, that is the nursery name I have chosen for these babies, Itty Bitty Babies.
In comparision to other sculpting artist, I am very new to this form of art and have a long way to go to learn more. I can see with each one I create, being better than the one before!
They truly are a labour of love as I don't sell them to make a profit, the clay and all that goes into creating them, let alone time, is quite costly!
